Abstract
Advertising is just one piece of the whole, one marketing tool, one influence on consumers. In first half of the 19th century, many significant developments took place .firstly KOBACO set up an adversing unit called the Broadcasting Advertising Improvement Board to discuss public service advertising issues for the first time. In December 1931 the first public service advertising campaign was aired on television to encourage the public to open Bank savings accounts. Commercial production was to be done by the TV Network and professional production. In 1937, the Institute of Advertising Research was established to focus on the study of public service advertising. This article includes the short history of advertising and its impact on the behaviour of consumers.
